Focus Microwaves
dBm Engineering is a Focus Microwaves, Inc. approved Load Pull service provider (offering design methodologies and RF transistor and RF circuit characterization), and serves as an
applications engineering support resource for Focus Microwaves and its customers. Using the Focus Microwaves Load Pull system, dBm Engineering is involved in the development of various
advanced measurement techniques, including high power pulsed radar Load Pull. Additionally, dBm provides trial measurement services for Focus Microwaves' prospective Load Pull customers,
and also functions as a Focus Microwaves reseller partner.
The dBm RF power lab is equipped with two full Focus Load Pull systems, to allow for parallel design processes and faster design iterations.

University of Colorado, Boulder
Working with members of the CU Microwave Engineering department, dBm Engineering partners with CU in the following ways:
- Internship programs
CU graduate students regularly work in the dBm Engineering lab, gaining real-world experience
and conduct university sponsored experiments under dBm staff supervision.
- Cooperative research projects
Working cooperatively with CU department faculty
and staff, dBm Engineering contributes
measurements
and data to department research projects
- Joint publication of articles
Recent activity includes work on high-powered amplifier design using class E amplification using
high powered load pull and TRL impedance verification, as well as work on high powered rectenna design
Future dBm Engineering and CU projects currently under consideration include: government-funded joint research projects, and laboratory
modules for CU courses in Microwave Engineering.
